Правильность ip — адреса 172.17.255.1
Ситуация такая: У меня есть задание от преподавателя. Нужно настроить статическую маршрутизацию (смотреть на схему ниже) Суть задания в том, чтобы пинговались компьютеры с сервером. Я настроил на маршрутизаторах маршрут от сервера до компьютеров (то есть до сети 10.0.0.0 ), то есть пакет долетает до компьютеров (проверил на встроенном симуляторе Cisco Packet Tracer), но обратно ответа не приходит, потому что не настроен маршрут обратно до сервера (то есть до сети 172.17.255.0 ). Проблема в том, что маршрутизаторы не дают мне настроить маршрут до сети 172.17.255.0 , выдают ошибку: Inconsistent address and mask . Я подозреваю, что проблема именно в октете 255 в ip — адресе. Может ли такой октет как 255 в ip — адресе влиять на работу маршрутизации? При этом маршрутизатор r4 и local server пингуются друг с другом и проблем никаких нет.

Сортировка: Сброс на вариант по умолчанию
Последний единичный бит в адресе сети 172.17.255.0 — 24-й. Т.е. 172.17.255.0 может иметь маску /24 или мельче. Указанная на рисунке маска /16 — недопустима.
Если адрес — 172.17.255.132 , а маска /16, то для получения адреса сети надо обнулить все биты после 16-го (т.е. последние два октета). Получится адрес сети — 172.17.0.0 / 16 .

Сделал вывод из вашего ответа. Настроил маршруты на маршрутизаторах с помощью команды: ip route 172.17.0.0 255.255.0.0 . . Как вы и написали, убрал два последних октета. Все заработало. Спасибо!

A mask of 255.255.255.0 is too large to accommodate 300 hosts.

огромное спасибо за http://faq-cisco.ru/page.php?id=3 , есть две Cisco 2821 и 827 между ними путаюсь VPN создать, все как там написано, дошел до одного момента и ни как не получается, вот кусок конфига. где
Cisco 2821 внешний IP 192.168.5.230 и 10.201.208.11 внутренний, а
Cisco 827 внешний IP 80.80.80.0 и 192.168.5.234 внутренний часть конфига 2821 crypto isakmp policy 10

а реально есть только ACL 102

This error message may appear while attempting to configure a Static Route on a Layer 3 device running Cisco IOS.
What does this error mean?
This error indicates that the network address specified in the command is not a valid network address for the subnet mask specified.
The basic format of the ip route command as follows:
ip route 192.168.1.0 255.255.255.0 10.0.0.1 network address subnet mask next hop The network address parameter must be a valid network address when combined with the subnet mask parameter. When entering the ip route command on a Cisco router, if we see the error message «% Inconsistent address and mask» it indicates to us that the combination of the network address parameter and the subnet mask parameter is incorrect.
Example 1 (Mistake or typo when entering the network address):

Router1(config)#The example above shows 2 routers and 3 network segments. In order to route traffic to Segment 3, Router1 requires a route to the network 10.8.1.0/24 .
To add the required static route on Router1 above we entered it as follows:
ip route 10.8.1. 1 255.255.255.0 172.20.100.98 network address subnet mask next hop However, 10.8.1. 1 is not a network address when combined with the Subnet Mask 255.255.255.0 (/24). 10.8.1. 1 is the first host address from the network 10.8.1. 0 255.255.255.0. The correct value for the network address paramter would be 10.8.1. 0 .
The correct ip route command would be:
ip route 10.8.1. 0 255.255.255.0 172.20.100.98 network address subnet mask next hop With the correct network address paramer, the router accepts the command:

Considering the same scenario as previously, this time we try to enter the static route as follows:ip route 10.8.1.0 255.255.25 4 .0 172.20.100.98 network address subnet mask next hop The IP address 10.8.1.0 is not a network address when combined with the subnet mask 255.255.25 4 .0. 10.8.1.0 is the 256th host address in the network 10.8. 0 .0 255.255.25 4 .0 (/2 3 )
10.8.0.0 255.255.25 4 .0 defines the range of IP address 10.8.0.0 — 10.8.1.255. The network address is 10.8.0.0 and the broadcast address is 10.8.1.255. (10.8.1.0 is a host address within this range.)
The correct subnet mask for this scenario is 255.255.25 5 .0. The correct command would be:
ip route 10.8.1.0 255.255.25 5 .0 172.20.100.98 network address subnet mask next hop With the correct subnet mask paramer, the router accepts the command:
